2024 Nomination Form
The James J. Byrnes Awards for Excellence program was established during Raymond Van Houtte’s administration as President of Tompkins Trust Company. Mr. Van Houtte felt it was important to share the bank’s success with community members who have helped to enrich the quality of life in Tompkins County.
Criteria: Nominees can be a non-profit group, a group of individuals representing a key un-paid volunteerism element of a local organization, or local individuals performing philanthropic community service and should meet the following minimum criteria:
- Make a significant contribution towards improving the quality of life for others either as a major component of a non-profit organization or through individual philanthropic efforts.
- Generously volunteer time and effort, on an ongoing basis, to activities which help others in Tompkins County.
Recipients will receive a monetary donation that they may designate to the organization of their choice.
